Speedmaster CX 104 Reaches 1,000th Sale

The Speedmaster CX 104, our global bestseller, has reached a remarkable milestone — the sale of its 1,000th press.

This landmark press will be installed at Hoifu Group, a leading Chinese high-end packaging producer founded in 1996 with a workforce of 2,500 employees.

Configured with 14 printing units for UV production, the system will go into operation at Hoifu’s Yancheng site — a reflection of the strong and growing demand for HEIDELBERG specialty presses in China.

Hoifu selected the Speedmaster CX 104 for its outstanding inline efficiency and productivity. “Beyond exceptional technology, HEIDELBERG also provides excellent service support that helps us consistently achieve our productivity and quality targets in high-end packaging,” says Ou Shun Chou, Chairman of Hoifu Group.

The Preset Plus delivery – perfection right down to the pile

High-precision pile formation with the shortest makeready times by adopting presetting data in the Preset Plus delivery.

Presettable, dynamic sheet brake accepts the sheet at production speed, straightens it, and decelerates it to the delivery speed under controlled conditions.

Sheet travel – reliable guidance through the machine

Outstanding sheet travel quality and substrate flexibility due to AirTransfer system, the patented, contact-free sheet guide with Venturi nozzle technology.

The inking unit and dampening unit – quality in a nutshell

  • Outstanding production stability, high contrast, and homogeneous printing of solid areas due to the tried and tested inking unit with lined ink fountain, perfectly combined with the unique, speed-compensated Alcolor dampening system.

Innovative coating unit with a high quality chamber doctor blade system, consisting of doctor blade chamber, exchangeable anilox roller as well as ink drip tray with level sensors for a homogeneous coating with high gloss.
